"The Camel Husband" is a magical, mysterious, Middle
Eastern folktale appropriate for children and adults of
all ages.
The story is both enchanting and enchanted, with heroic
characters, mysterious curses and gentle humor. This
folktale is a variation on the theme of “Beauty and the
Beast,” filled with hidden caverns, dazzling palaces,
and a magical desert landscape.
The story builds upon itself in layer upon layer until,
in the end, the compelling mystery of the tale can only
be unraveled by storytelling itself.
This is a concert-length story, approximately 60 minutes
in length. It is appropriate for all school-aged
children; some portions of the program are highly
interactive - the audience is invited to participate in
providing clues to the resolution of the story.
Live traditional music on Oud (Strings) and/or Toumpouk is available by arrangement. |
