Over the past ten years I have worked increasingly in museum settings, including regular performances in  the galleries of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Storytelling in museum galleries creates a synergy between art and language.  The art of a culture comes vividly to life in the context of the stories and traditions that surround it.

In some programs, the stories reveal the amazing narratives depicted within the artworks themselves.  Artifacts spring to life in the context of the myths and legends they depict.

Alternatively, the stories may reflect thematic ideas suggested by the artwork, opening a new way to see individual works, or the collection as whole.
