Preparation & Follow Up X Storytelling is a powerful tool for engaging young minds.  X Before visiting a school I provide each teacher with information about using folktales and storytelling in the classroom, as well as suggested follow up activities across curricula. X In a Language Arts classroom, storytelling promotes engaged reading and expressive writing.  Rich, detailed language helps students visualize the stories they hear.  In follow-up writing, students express a personal response to the story.
